Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
I'm a green newbie to video. I've received two MP4 videos with sound from a trusted source. They are 741.5 MB and 208.9 MB in size. I've played them on my Mac Pro without any problem on OSX 10.6.2 using QuickTime Version 10.0 (90.3.1) and on Windows 7 (VMware virtual machine) using QuickTime 7.6.5 for Windows. For personal reasons, they are a treasure.
Today, I received a new Blu-ray DVD player from my kids. The documentation says that it supports video formats MP2, VC1 and AVC. Is there any way that I can convert the MP4 videos to MP2 format? I'd love to be able to play them on the Blu-ray connected to the new flat screen HD TV that came with it. As an experiment, I tried a DVD on the Blu-ray that had the MP4 videos on it along with some .jpg images. The images worked fine, but the videos did not show up on the screen.
