OS 10.6.8 Safari 5.1.10 I ran ClamXav and it found 3 problems which I removed. It took a long long time because of all my photos are in my home folder. ClamXav suggested I check again after dealing with the problem files so I dragged the pics into my documents successfully. When I went back to my home folder, they were still there. So I dragged them to the trash only to be told they cannot be trashed because OSX needs them. Can these pics be removed from my home file even temporarily until ClamXav scans it? jaybass

I've seen that error a few times where the OS claims a file is in use (very common issue) or OS X needs the file (rather rare). In either event I usually just pop into terminal and use RM to remove the file. There are tools you can download to delete files too. I just find RM to be much simpler. "Make it go away!"
