converting MP4 DVD to video ts

OS 10.6.8 toast 7 iSKYSOFT video converter, MTR 4. Is it possible to convert a DVD (MP4) to video ts directly? jaybass

As far as I know, no. However, iDVD can burn a video DVD, which will create the necessary file structure and perform the necessary format conversions.

I think you are right as I suspected. What I did do was convert the MP4DVD to a MP4 file on my desktop which I dragged into toast and then clicked 'save as a disc image' This started encoding which took a loooong time. This produced a video_ts
folder I which dragged into visualhub and converted into a DVD.iso file. I then put that into toast which started writing (even longer than encoding) and gave me a 'DVD-video FROM VIDEO-TS' which is not what I was looking for. Instead of FROM, I wanted 'TO'. It can be done but if the time factor is similar, then it isn't worth the effort. The file ended up at over 4 Gb. Thanks for your reply tacit. jaybass
