Of course, I print and frame my email notifications from FTM because then other people think I have friends. Anyway, how do I select a bunch or all emails, move them to the trash and then actually trash them? I know on my MBP I can hold down shift to select a range and then command to select the ones I want to keep. Also, can I bounce an email from an iPad?

You do it the same way on the iPad as you do on the iPhone (assuming of course you are running iOS 8).
  1. at the top right of the column containing the list of messages in the mailbox, touch Edit
  2. A small circle will appear to the left of each message in the mailbox
  3. touch the circle next to each of the messages you want to delete which will fill the circle
  4. when you have chosen all the messages you wish to delete then at the bottom right of the list, touch Delete.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

The above process should move the selected messages into the mail account Trash folder. You could then repeat the process from within the Trash to delete them from the server.

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.
