Location of iDevice files?

I only have one iDevice, so I see no reason to keep a copy of the updaters I previously installed via iTunes, e.g., with my iPhone connected to my Mac.

Now I wonder where the stored updater(s) are located. Where do those critters live?

Also, where are the backup copies (the ones I make via iTunes) stored?

I can't help you there as I have ITunes match turned on so all of my music is linked to originals on the iTunes Store servers so I do not bother with any backups other than Time Machine.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Thanks, Joe.

Were I guess, I'ld say all that stuff is in the same folder, but every once in a great while, I'm wrong. Imagine that…
