I have the prefs set to not remember history, and even if I clear it along with cookies, it still comes up with a recent list of the sites I have visited as soon as I type a character or two into Google. Where is that coming from? Is it the Diagnostic and User Data? Can I delete that data even if it isn't?

OS 8 (No room to install update, duh)

Could be that it's coming from Google. If you go to Settings -> Safari -> Search, there should be an option to toggle Search Engine Suggestions off. See if that makes a difference.

That works. I wanted to check if some keywords added to a website are working on Google. I do want Google to auto-suggest, just not based on my history...
