Personally I don't attempt to directly transfer videos or photos between my iPhone and iPad. Instead I put them into the iCloud Photo Stream and from there I can access them on my iMac, iPhone, or iPad.

However, if you want to directly transfer the videos you have to import them into iTunes on your computer, then when you synch your iPhone or iPad be sure that you have selected, checked, the particular videos you wish to synch (copy) to the target device. They may show up under any one of several different categories in iTunes depending on several factors, so you may have to do a little checking to see where they are listed.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

And somewhat along the lines of Photo Stream, you could use Dropbox.

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.
