I installed High Sierra (HFS+) yesterday without issue (sorta): I just ran Validate Fonts from Font Book and it noted there is a minor problem with Geneva (’glyf’ table structure) and to proceed with caution.
As I check Font Book regularly, I suspect the problem is somehow related to High Sierra.
Has anyone else noticed this?
But if the issue is with my machine, what do I do to remedy the situation?

High Sierra comes with its own copy of Geneva, as part of the base system fonts: v13.0d1e2. You can find it in: Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/SharedSupport/BaseSystem.dmg/OS X Base System/System/Library/Fonts/Base/Geneva.ttf This file reports in Font Book (on 10.12) as also having a problem with the ‘glyf’ table structure. The Sierra font was v11.0d1e2 and has 3742 glyphs (characters), the same number as the new one.
Apparently, Apple decided to deprecate the .dfont format that Geneva recently came in, and created a .ttf version, but didn’t do it in a way that satisfied font validation. Quality Control should have caught that one, though.
What a wonderful reply. Not only is this a non-issue, but 'tis one that is not of my making.
I tried testing that Geneva font, and could identify no problems with it. From here, it seems the same as always. Now, I suppose, I just wait for the Apple fix-perhaps in the next version/release.
