This morning, I noticed a nit that vexes me. It’s not causing a problem other that I’m frustrated because I am unable to resolve it:

When entering Split View mode, there are two thumbnails present: 1) Desktop (as normal) and 2) Dashboard. I want to remove the Dashboard thumbnail, but am plagued by my inability to do so.

I hunted about the net for a solution, but joy eludes-

Any ideas, suggestions?

If you're talking about seeing "Dashboard" in addition to the "Desktops" at the top of the screenshot linked to this post the answer is to uncheck Dashboard in System Prefs > Keyboard > Shortcuts (which turns it off for good...not a viable solution if you use it).

While the specifics of your post did not resolve the issue (for moi), it did get me in the right pew.

For me, the solution was to go to System Preferences/Mission Control. Once there, in the top half of the window, where there is a dropdown menu for Dashboard, ensure "OFF" is selected.

I just looked, and I've got Dashboard turned off in both locations, and I forgot about the second - critical for me, too - one.
