Only with Google, only in Safari!

Anyone else get this when clicking on links that are the results of a Google search, please?
Quote:
Safari Can't Open the Page "https:/www.gogle.com/url?xyz" because the server where this page is located isn't responding.

The URLs are all always correct. They all always connect when I dismiss and reload.

It only ever happens in Safari and with pages on Google!

TIA…

I've got that message a few times although I can't say it was always from a Google search. It seems to me it may have happened just clicking on a link.

I can confirm it would only have happened with Safari as it's the browser I use almost exclusively. OS is 10.8.5, Safari is 6.2.8

Did you copy and paste that error? because there's an "o" missing from "google"

If you are indeed typing gogle, you may be stumbling on someone domain squatting and getting some unexpected (and perhaps unwanted) behaviors from your browser as a result. Clearing your browser history is usually sufficient to get rid of bad autocompletes due to old type-o's

Thanks; No - when it appears in Safari, the text of that message isn't copy-and-pastable so I mistyped it in.

It's always and only Google, with two 'oo's wink

I have seen that but not just on Google. The problem appears to be momentary and retrying generally yields the desired results. I have speculated that the timeout interval has been shortened but I have no direct evidence. I reported it through the Apple Beta Test system.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Thanks, Joe!

Yes retrying almost always (99%) get the page. But it's annoying because it can take up to a minute before I can do that… the failure drags out!
