Have you tried rerunning the updater?

Something apparently didn't take the first time you ran the updater, but there's a receipt on your Mac that says that you ran it, and Software Update doesn't know that you need it again, so...
I suggest that you visit Apple's website, locate the freestanding 10.10.1 updater and run it.

I suggest that you store that one away for possible future use, kevs; the traditional first troubleshooting step for dealing with "failed" OS X updates is rerunning the updater...the combo, if you ran the incremental first time around. As for your other problem, I can't begin to help, because it's 100% about stuff with which I 100% don't deal.
