I check Console fairly frequently to see what is going on. To day I looked and it's showing this message almost constantly for Safari, Console, Plugin and mail. Shows up almost every minute. I've never seen this before.

CFServiceControllerBeginPBSLoadForLocalizations timed out while talking to pbs

Anyone know what is going on to cause this message and how to fix it? I'm running 10.6.8.

Thanks,

Yours could be a symptom of a Services bug associated with the 'pbs' process, perhaps interacting with javascript (triggered by some web page you visited) or with a new (?) version of internet software you started using recently. Have you tried to reboot? That seems to fix the log activity.

Another symptom of this bug can be an empty or misbehaving Services menu (usually found under the app name). Like the one described above, this may be fixed as follows: 10.6: Fix a broken Services menu on the fly.
