Of on the great features on Sierra is live syncing of desktop laptop/ desktop.
This morning, I download some files to the laptop but still hour later, not showing on desktop. I did desktop reboot, no luck, what is going on? Real bummer... now have get my thumbdrive and do old style method to move around...

I don't know what's up with your syncing, but AirDrop to send content from your Mac sounds like it may be an easier solution than your thumb drive.

How do you have the synch setup? With Desktop and Documents folders on iCloud and a good internet connection the files are typically duplicated within several seconds.

Joe thanks, I've never set anything up. When Sierra came out all of sudden everything on desktops synced quickly as you say. Then yesterday not syncing.

Update: overnight seems to be working this morning. not sure how fast, but items from yesterday are on both computers, now.. but why did take 1/2 day?

One of files still uploading now 9am next morning... files .band file almost 1 gb.

update 2 , speed test morning on desktop: Could not connect to the test server. A firewall could be blocking the connection or the server might be having some issues. Please try again later.
