We would like to move up from our small hot-air popper get a countertop popcorn maker (probably 8 oz)….except we didn't realize just how many there are. Do we have any popcorn aficionados in The Lounge who may have sprung for a big machine?

If so, what kind did you get and, assuming you're happy with it, why do you like it?

I bought a movie theater; it doesn't make the world's greatest popcorn, but the movies more than redeem it! grin

is there a name for a "popcorn eater"? (wine drinkers are "oenophiles", book readers are "bibliophiles", etc)
