As long as the Lounge is working around with lyrics ...

Has anybody noticed the group of McDonalds commercials in which older patrons suddenly become younger patrons, accompanied by very wistful music?

For obvious reasons McDonalds has cherrypicked (and edited) the positive portion of the lyrics from Pepper Rabbit's Older Brother* to hawk their products, in particular:
We both sat, on our beds, in my room.
And we talked about what was coming soon. ...
And I think that you're the older brother,
that I never had. ...

If patrons (and others) knew what the gist of the whole song is — loss and sadness — they'd hardly be enticed to buy a Big Mac or anything else ... and might not want to eat at all for a while.

(* A fine piece, by the way; check out the band's performances of the real thing on YouTube, or you can catch the mp3 on this site.)
