This book, from Bolton, should also be an interesting read - although I will wait to read someone else's copy. Damned if I'm going to fork over money to a guy who refuses to appear before a congressional committee and help the American people but instead chooses to profit from what he knew.

I file Bolton in the same bin as Trump.

I would agree with you there. Other excerpts say Bolton accused Democrats of "impeachment malpractice" because they did not include in the charges the coercion (like with the Ukraine) of China and Turkey. Apparently Bolton (and other Trump staffers?) knew of this but said nothing. How can you make a charge if you are not aware of the circumstances?! Thanks for sharing, folks. crazy

I read that he said that "business as usual" at the White House was about re-election and personal enrichment, and obstruction of justice was an everyday occurrence.

He basically admitted to a criminal act after the fact when he can no longer be prosecuted for it.

Yet another colossal dirt-bag!

In a follow-up to my post above, there was a political cartoon in today's San Francisco Chronicle, the punch line of which was something like Bolton tells ABC News about the 1919 Black Sox scandal. It then goes on to say, "What took him so long? Was he stuck in traffic?" grin

and you are surprised because…? This is simply a confirmation of what many have long suspected/known about the Trump Whitehouse. Trump's father was in bed with the Mafia so that is how he was raised. It is really all Trump knows.

Why not? The statute of limitations has a long time to go before it runs out. On the other hand, Bolton may believe prosecution is inevitable (New York State alone has a number of major criminal charges pending against Trump, and others in his family, for tax evasion, and fraud) and is counting on turning state's witness to testify against Trump and others in the Whitehouse once Trump is out of office and thereby earn himself immunity from prosecution. Bolton may consider the book an advertisement to prosecutors of what he has to offer them in trade.

Or has he already got immunity from his agreement to testify?

That was intended as a rhetorical remark.

I had forgotten about that.
