unsubscribing vs. sneaky workaround

I get tons of political emails every day, so many that I can't keep up. I have started the process of unsubscribing but some keep recurring. Here's a tip: If you have the same problem, update your email address at the offending site with a spurious one. That should stop it.

That's a good approach ... assuming that the 'offending' sender is legitimate.
It might also be a reasonable solution to getting rid of spam/phishing/scam e-messages. (I think I'll give it a shot with several, including MoviePass, which bombard my mailbox multiple times daily.)

PS Why do you want/tolerate any political email?! I can't imagine a more dramatic waste of bandwidth.
