It turns out that Christie's expects to get big bucks for the almost first Apple computer (#82). I wonder how long I have to keep my machine before it's worth a quarter million?

That depends on whether you're looking at a real increase in value or at inflation... Either way, it's likely going to be your heirs rather than you who'll reap any benefits.
