In the past few weeks, posts I've already read have been regenerated as unread, i.e. as red numbers on my Home > Forums page, and with "New" stickers attached to them in their respective threads (*), at least twice, and I definitely refreshed Home > Forums, probably more than once, before the re-appearances.

Is this an FTM cookie issue, or is it rooted elsewhere?

(*) The occurrence that prompted this post was this V1 post.

It's likely this is related to the fact that your example thread was moved. Certainly the pointers left behind in the original forum from which a thread was moved will appear as unread. But it's also possible you've got a 'stuck' cookie. Either way, you're best situated to assess these options. laugh

You're right about moved threads, but:
  1. I don't recall either my linked post or its containing thread having been moved;
  2. There's no indication of either having been moved by the M Squad;
  3. The post was resurrected as "unread" more than a day after I first read it and after I'd refreshed Home>Forums several times.
Hmmm... Time to delete my cookies and see what happens. (Wouldn't it be odd, though, for a "stuck" cookie to cause just two glitches over a period of weeks?)

Just for your entertainment.

[shrug] OK... [/shrug]

I obviously saw it marked as unread both before and after it was moved, but I never knew it had been moved, because it wasn't indicated as such.

(That explains alternaut's confusing "It's likely this is related to the fact that your example thread was moved." He, having moved the thread, knew it had been moved, whereas I, as I said, had neither any indication thereof nor any idea what the hey he was talking about.)
