On photoshop forum, I got the good tip to check full disk access to solve and issue, lo and behold, see in there:
Smbd, sshd-keygen-wrapper, XProtect, BackService, sh,
Anyone know what these guys are? I cannot guess

I remember having seen that item in my Full Disk Access pane, but it's no longer there, although not as a result of any action by me.
The new Great Equalizer is the SEND button.

It apparently used to be present by default, but as I said, it's now gone...my system, anyhow. I wonder if so many users questioned it that Apple took the easy way out?
