Usually, when I've used "Hide my email", I've got a confirmation from iCloud. Today I purchased a piece of software and used Hide My Email. So far I have not received any confirmation from iCloud or any email with my download link. I have written to the software company but, of course, it is with my correct email address, so that may be an problem.
Anyone else having issues with Hide My Email?

Thanks for that Jon. It may have been the outage but even though Apple's link to a Systems Status site says the outage is now resolved, Hide My Email has still not forwarded the link from the software company. Fortunately, when I wrote and explained the problem, using my real email address, the software company accommodated me.
I think I'll just stop using Hide My Email. I've never got enough spam for it to be a big worry, so maybe adding a new level of complication is just not worth the potential side effects.

Don't give up completely on Hide My Email. It is really good for times when an email address is requested and the source has absolutely no need nor reason to email you anything but they still want your address.
On a Mac since 1984. Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

And for those who don't care to pay for iCloud+, a dedicated Gmail account is a viable alternative.
